Canadian Aviation Issues

Allow us to help you navigate the extensive complexities of Canadian aviation law.

The complexities of regulations in Canada that deal directly with aviation, or indirectly impact aviation operations are extensive. We deal with all kinds of interesting and unique files. We help people and companies start a new commercial air service. If you are a commercial air service provider licensed in another country, we can help you navigate the Canadian Foreign Air Carrier Licensing process and answer all of the other questions that inevitably come up. Sometimes we deal with needing Ministerial Exemptions issued to allow a company to do what aviation laws generally prohibit – cabotage operations, leaving a non-Canadian registered aircraft parked in Canada for more than 90 days over the course of a rolling 12-month period. Once in a while either the Canadian Transportation Agency or Transport Canada come up with “interesting” interpretations of the law, and we are called upon to assist with these matters. We have prepared a short review of some of these Canadian aviation issues.
